Tonight for dinner I cooked pulled pork in the slow cooker.
I used a 5 pound pork butt. I rubbed the pork butt with McCormicks Bourbon Brown sugar rub and put the pork butt in the slow cooker with a 12 Oz bottle of Reeds extra ginger beer. I cooked the pork butt for 10 hours using the low setting.
The pork turned out perfect and it was not too dry. I ate it without any bbq sauce and the flavor was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed cooking and eating this and will definitely be making this again.
This is what my wife Barbara said about the pork. “It was very good, perfect seasoning. Not fatty, greasy or overly salty.”
