Tonight for dinner I decided to take my wife Barbara back to Terra Mia in Draper Utah because I was in the mood for some authentic pasta and I remembered how good Terra Mia was on my previous visits.
Barbara ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp. I ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli. While were waiting for our food the brought us a complimentary Bruschetta appetizer.
The Fettuccine Alftedo with shrimp consisted of fettuccine with alfredo sauce, shrimp and zucchini.
This is what Barbara said about her meal.
“Shrimp Alfredo Fettucini with Zucchini shredded Pasta. I really liked it. I ordered it without onions (they don’t agree with me and I don’t care for the taste <; ). A bit bland, but overall I enjoyed it. The sauce was a great portion, not powdery or pre-made tasting. Noodles were nice and fresh. They possibly could be home-made.
The Brusheta was really good as well. My only con for that is the bread was a bit over toasted and I found it very salty. ”
The Bruschetta consisted of fresh tomatoes, toasted bread, basil and olive oil. The Butternut Squash Ravioli consisted of butternut squash ravioli, sage butter sauce, parmesan cheese and lemon zest.
I will start with the appetizer and say it was amazing. The tomotoes were nice and fresh and flavorful. The basil was also nice and fresh and tasty. The bread was toasted perfect and had really good flavor.
The Butternut Squash Ravioli was phenomenal. The flavor was divine. The pasta was slightly sweet and you could definitely taste the butternut squash. The lemon zest added a nice slightly sour taste that really complimented the sweetness from the butternut squash. The Parmesan cheese and sage butter sauce were also very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal!
I would say that I got a great value for my money and I definately got full from my meal.
I highly recommend Terra Mia in Draper Utah for really amazing authentic Italian. I will definitely go back in the future to try other items on the menu. If I crave authentic Italian I know that Terra Mia will provide that.
