Tonight for dinner I decided that I wanted Southern Food again and since it was so phenomenal on my previous visit I decided to go back to Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen.
This time I ordered the Blackened Pork Chops with Golden Splendor and Red Beans & Rice.
The Pork Chops were seasoned and seared and came with a side of the house soul sauce. The Golden Splendor consisted of shell pasta combined with a creamy chedder cheese sauce. The Red Beans & Rice consisted of steamed rice topped with slow simmered red beans and garnished with bacon. The meal also came with a slice of cornbread with honey butter.
Just like the last meal I had the pleasure of enjoying at Sauce Boss Sourhern Kitchen this meal was phenomenal! The Cornbread was cooked perfectly and was not dry whicj is just the way I like it. The cornbread was nice and sweet but not overly sweet. The honey butter enhanced the flavor even more. The Blackened Pork chops were phenomenal! They were cooked perfectly and had a nice spicy kick but not overly spicy. The flavor was a delight to taste. Without the soul sauce they were a delight to eat and the soul sauce further enhanced that flavor with a slightly sweet and spicy punch. The Golden Splendor was also phenomenal and very tasty. I thought that the Pasta was cooked perfectly and the cheese sauce was nice and creamy and very tasty. The Red Beans and rice again were phenomenal. The rice was cooked perfectly as were the beans. The beans were not over cooked and mushy which I found far too many times in Utah. The Red Beans and rice also had phenomenal flavor.
I would say that I got a great value for my money. I got full from my meal and the mesl put a smile on my face. I highly recommend Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen in Draper Utah and will most definitely will be going back to try other items on the menu. Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen is a much needed cuisine here in Utah and I am glad they opened.
