Tonight for dinner my wife Barb and I decided to go back to Wicked Peel Pizza in Riverton Utah to try the Pizza since some of my loyal readers said that if you are going to a Pizza Place you need to try the Pizza and on the last visit we ordered Pasta.
We orderered the Caprese Appetizer which consisted of mozzarella, tomatoes and basil drizzled with balsamic reduction. Barb ordered the Hawaiian Pizza which consisted of house tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, ham and pineapple. I ordered the Patriot Pizza which consisted of house tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, ham, bacon and sausage.
This is what Barb said about her meal. “Caprese was very different but a nice change from the usual choices most places offer. It was not greasy or overly filling. It was very light. It might have been better if the tomatoes were home garden fresh and the mozzarella slightly melted. As farcas the Pizza I really enjoyed the Pizza. The Pizza was a nice blend of crust, sauce, cheese, pineapple and ham. The Pizza was not sloppy like you get from the Pizza Chains. The crust was nicely baked all the way through.
Now for my opinion. The Caprese was phenomenal. The mozarella was nice and fresh and paired extremely well with the tomatoes. The basil was nice, fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the sweet but slightly tart flavor of the balsamic reduction. As far as the Pizza I have to say that this Pizza was one of the best I have had in Utah. The crust was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The sauce was delicious and they did not overdo the sauce like most Pizza Places do. The shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, ham, bacon and sausage were all very tasty. I was very impressed by my meal and the quality.
As far as value for the money I would say that we got a great value and we both got full from our meal.
I highly recommend Wicked Peel Pizza in Riverton Utah. This is now my favorite for Pizza. I know I will definitely go back in the future and try other items on the menu.
